Port Willunga Jetty: Long exposure tilt shift

2016/05/img_8403.jpg
Its not often I go out and do long exposure landscape photography, looking for those creamy waters and mist. I actually don’t get out enough to even shoot landscapes, it’s usually something I enjoy to shoot while out road tripping in the Kombi, as and when I come across new places. But with the arrival of my new lens a 24mm Tilt Shift, I’ve been exploring my back yard. In this case I went down to Port Willunga and spent some time around the jetty and caves.
Even though I’ve avoided the pumped up saturation and high contrast that is usually associated to this style of photography, I love the surreal look that has happened with this image. Subdued natural colours, the elective and directional focus… I’m pleased.
